Katelyn Acevedo
Katelyn began practicing yoga in the spring of 2021. She has had a history of running and weightlifting which is what originally had her drawn to asana, the physical practice of yoga. She felt a connection like no other to her mind, body and soul shortly after taking classes. Katelynn has taken fast paced vinyasa classes, hot classes, amongst others.
Recently, she has been interested in more gentle and restorative classes. Yoga has shown her the discipline and rewards of slowing down. She first went to Ananda Ashram in December of 2021 and decided to embark on their 200 hour teacher training studying traditional hatha yoga, along with the other eight limbs of yoga. She has studied the physical practice, pranayama (breathing techniques) and the Yamas and Niyamas. She has taken a deep delve into meditation and chanting of mantras.
Katelynn’s main goal for her students is to spread the love of yoga and help them live their yoga on and off of the mat.
