Shri Radha met Guruji in San Francisco in 1977 when she was searching for an acupuncture teacher and destiny led her to Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati (known then as Ramamurti S. Mishra, M.D.), founder and spiritual director of the Yoga Society of San Francisco. In the years that followed, she received intensive training from him, serving closely as his secretary and assistant, traveling with him and serving as his main interpreter during the final ten years of his life. Radha lives at Ananda Ashram in Monroe, NY, where she is a life-term trustee of the Baba Bhagavandas Publication Trust and a director on the International Schools of East-West Unity (Gurukula) board. She offers programs in meditation, Yoga-Vedanta philosophy and Sanskrit language, Since 2004, Radha has been graced to further her spiritual practice and education with Amma Sri Karunamayi in India and the US.
