Born and raised in India, Soham Dhesi started her yoga journey when she was eight years old. Practice of asana, pranayama and ayurveda were a daily ritual in her family along with participating in seva (selfless service per Sikh principles and/or Karma Yoga) and Kirtan at the Sikh gurudwara. However, when she immigrated to the USA in 2011 to study architecture and urban planning she lost touch with these rituals. It was only in 2016 she began to develop her own personal relationship with the practice leading up to receiving her 200 hour yoga teacher certificate from Ananda Ashram in 2023. In embracing that yoga is a life-long meditative practice toward liberation she hopes to help others find their own path and practice.
